Liverpool, for instance, is one of the great cities of the world and has so much to offer that if you don’t plan it well, you will miss some of the most exciting and beautiful parts of the city. Here are 3 things you shouldn’t miss if you are visiting:

  1. Liverpool Cathedral: One of the most iconic spots in this area, this should be at the top of your list of places to visit. Initially constructed in 1978, the famed tower portion stands 100.8 meteres high. You can enjoy the ringing of the bells or see the gorgeous panoramic views from the tower, which stands 152 metres above sea level. More than 100 stairs lead up to the tower, ad on a clear day, you can see as far as Blackpool Tower.
  2. Merseyside Maritime Museum: Liverpool might not exist were it not for its seafaring roots, and this phenomenal museum is the perfect place to learn more about those roots. In the centre of Albert Dock, this museum holds boats, models, wrecked objects, uniforms and more.
  3. The Walker Art Gallery: Home to one of the biggest art collections in the UK, this is often called the National Gallery of the North because it is administered directly from government funds. The collection dates back to the 1300s, and inside, you'll find many beautiful pieces, including the La Masseuse sculpture by Edgar Degas.
